DYNAMIC FOCUS® SHOOTING
December 15, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Combat Focus Shooting, (CFS) OR Dynamic Focus Shooting (DFS) courses are for Men, Women, Law Enforcement, and Military persons of varying skill levels. Basically, if you own or possess a gun for defensive purposes then the courses below were designed for you.
These courses are TRUE Defensive Shooting Courses, not Offensive Shooting courses. These courses are considered in the industry as “the pinnacle of Defensive Shooting Instruction” and what I like to call “contextually accurate training”.
We believe in efficient handgun skills in the proper context, that will aid you in surviving a defensive shooting; god forbid you ever found yourself in that situation. We don’t waste your time and resources training for things that are not congruent with the empirical evidence from real “civilian” defensive encounters.
Don’t let the word Combat scare you away from this course, if you find yourself in a DCI or Dynamic Critical Incident, then that is exactly what it would be Combat! Furthermore, if you look up the word Combat you will see it is defined as “a fight or contest between individuals or groups”, “conflict, controversy”, “active fighting in a war”. Again if you are in a surprising, chaotic event where a firearm is needed to prevent yourself from being killed or seriously harmed then it IS COMBAT.

What is Combat Focus Shooting?
Combat Focus Shooting is an intuitive shooting program designed to help the student become a more efficient shooter in the context of a Dynamic Critical Incident. This is not a marksmanship course, nor is it designed to accentuate skills that only work well on a square range in front of paper targets. Unlike many traditional programs, CFS does not take a purely mechanical approach to shooting training in isolation from the context in which the skill must be used. CFS is not simply “point shooting,” it is a training methodology that leads to more efficient defensive shooting skills.
For decades, combat shooters have known (and progressive trainers have acknowledged) that the human body and mind have predictable, instinctive responses to surprise and lethal threats. While the basics of weapons handling and marksmanship are important skills for all shooters, they are not the basis for success during most lethal encounters involving the defensive use of a handgun.
Combat Focus Shooting is being taught by certified instructors around the United States and Europe. CFS has been successfully integrated into various military and law enforcement training programs and is the most efficient way for anyone interested in defensive firearms skills to develop their abilities.
